Before we get started, here are a few bits of information as well as some setup instructions for day one. If you get stuck at any point, feel free to either call me at (732) 290-5703 or email me at info@lakewoodprogramming.com.

One final thing: I've already spoken to many of you regarding what kind of laptop to get, but I'll reiterate here for those still unsure. Programming requires decent hardware, so if your laptop is old and slow it won't do the trick. You should get one with an **i7 processor** and at least **8GB of RAM** (12–16GB preferred). Also, while not required, it's recommended that the laptop have an **SSD**. If you're unsure, or if your laptop doesn't meet these specs, feel free to give me a call.
